Michael Wynne-Parker has been appointed President of the British Commonwealth Sambo Association.  Sambo is a combination of martial arts techniques from East and West developed into modern practice during the 20th century.  There are branches in most countries of the British Commonwealth and the next Commonwealth Finals will be held in Edinburgh in September this year.

Michael Wynne-Parker was awarded the Order of St. Isidore Yuriev (3rd Class) for his services to the Russian Orthodox Church in Estonia, during a ceremony at Phutitsa Monastery, Estonia, presided over by HE Metropolitan Cornelius, Primate of the RO Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Estonia.

Michael Wynne-Parker, Chairman Introcom International, was a guest speaker at the Annual Russkiy Mir Foundation Assembly, held in Suzdal, Russia on the theme of Russia and Great Britain – the very special relationship.

Michael Wynne-Parker, Knight Grand Cross of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem, hosted a Dinner at the Cavalry and Guards Club, London.

Michael Wynne-Parker, Trustee of the Russian Orthodox Diocese in the UK, was a guest of the ROC Department of External Affairs at a concert to celebrate the end of WW2 at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Moscow, for a performance of Benjamin Britten´s War Requiem.
