The Guest of Honour and pricipal speaker was The Deputy Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus, Mr Sardar Denktash.

Michael Wynne-Parker, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Commonwealth Sambo Association, attended the World Senior Sambo Championships in St.Petersburg.

Michael Wynne-Parker has been appointed a Founder Trustee of the Estonia branch of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society.

The Society was founded by Grand Duchess Elizabeth in Moscow in 1882 and Michael became a member in Jerusalem in 1972.
