Michael Wynne-Parker, President Commonwealth Sambo Association, presided over the Commonwealth Finals, Edinburgh, Scotland.  Teams from Commonwealth Countries competed together with the American and Russian champions.  The Presidents Cup was presented by HRH Princess Katarina to the Russian Team.

Michael Wynne-Parker, Vice President, Castle of Mey introduced Tony Allen to HRH The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, Castle of Mey who appointed Mr Allan Vice President.

Michael Wynne-Parker, Chairman of the Guild of Travel and Tourism, presided over a Dinner in honour of King Kigeli V of Rwanda, who was celebrating his 80th Birthday, at the Cavalry and Guards Club, London.  Various African and European Monarchies were represented.  Speakers included HRH Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia,The Marquess of Reading, Major General Jonathon Shaw, Ian Paisley MP, Lady Olga Maitland and Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh.

Michael Wynne-Parker, Co-sponsor of “The Orthodox Icon in Estonia” with Aleksandr Volohhonski, spoke at the book launch in the Russian Cultural Centre, Tallinn. The event was presided over by HE Metropolitan Cornelius, Primate of the RO Church of Estonia and organized by Sergei Mannik.

Michael Wynne-Parker, President Commonwealth Sambo Association addressed a Reception in the State Duma at the Opening of the Russia-SAMBO-United Kingdon Exhibition.  The event was presided over by Vasily Shestakov, President of the International Sambo Federation and Member of the State Duma.
